About our puppy raising: First 3 weeks

During 1st 2 weeks for early stimulation we use a modified version of the “Bio Sensor” method developed by the U.S. Military Canine Program.  This involves 5 simple exercises performed every day and are designed for neurological stimulation I order to give the dog a superior advantage.
These exercises impact the neurological system by kicking it into action earlier than would be normally expected. The result being an increased capacity that later will help to make the difference in its performance. Those who play with their pups and routinely handle them should continue to do so because the neurological exercises are not substitutions for routine handling, play socialization or bonding.
Five benefits have been observed in canines that were exposed to the Bio Sensor stimulation exercises:
Improved cardio vascular performance (heart rate)
    Stronger heart beats,
    Stronger adrenal glands,
    More tolerance to stress
    Greater resistance to disease
As soon as eyes are open, we introduce more stimulation.
For enrichment, we start with stuffed toys in the whelping box, adding different textures, shapes changing the toys every day.  Once puppies are moving around well, we also use human toys designed for toddlers.  These are toys that light up, play music, and talk when the puppies come in contact.  We also use a wide variety of surfaces in the whelping box such as burlap, bamboo, and twiggy place mats, and bumpy rubber door mats, so puppies can experience the sensation of walking on variable surfaces.
